Arif Husain
Chief Economist at World Food Programme
Arif Husain is the Chief Economist and Director of Research, Assessment and Monitoring at the United Nations World Food Programme. He holds a PhD in Applied Economics and an M.S in Agricultural Economics from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. Prior to his current position, Arif served as the Senior Regional Programme Advisor for Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as the Deputy Chief of the Food Security Analysis Service at the World Food Programme.
