Ariel McNichol, a creative director and UX design pioneer, has an extensive background in co-founding and scaling multiple start-ups, including mEgo, a popular avatar company. Her work has helped define what is now the norm for microblogging, avatars, emojis, online video consumption, and engagement. With a degree in Art History, Painting, Anatomy, and Clinical Psychology, Ariel's expertise in using evidence-based behavioral science to dictate content and design choices began at one of her earliest roles as a game designer at Scientific Learning. Currently, she is the Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer, and acting CEO of MotiSpark, a platform designed to send timely text-message-based personalized videos that help people see and create the stories of their desired future. Using MotiSpark, healthcare providers can educate and keep their patients motivated between appointments, quadrupling appointment attendance, and improving patient satisfaction.
