Aremu John

Aremu John is a Nigerian professional with extensive work experience in project management, finance, and social and private sector development across West and East Africa.

He holds a Master's Degree in Agricultural Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University and certificates in Public Policy and Political Economics from universities in the USA and the Netherlands.

With over 9 years of experience, he has worked with organizations like GIZ, USAID, AGRA, and the African Union on projects related to Resilience, Agribusiness, Nutrition, Governance, and Social Inclusion.

Aremu is passionate about empowering smallholder farmers, youth, and women to achieve goals such as Peace Accord, Nutrition Security, SDGs, and the African Union Agenda 2063.

Apart from his professional work, he is the CEO of Cedro Royal Multiventures and Cedro International Limited, demonstrating his interest in entrepreneurship.

He is also actively involved in community development through his NGO, Green Future Builder Initiative, focusing on Agribusiness, Education, Environment, Health, Youth in Governance, and Social Inclusions.

Aremu is fluent in English and Yoruba and has knowledge of the Hausa language.

His educational background includes studies in Agricultural Economics, Global Studies, Climate Policy, Public Health, Political Science, Human Rights, and Diplomacy, among others, from various reputable institutions worldwide.

Throughout his career, Aremu has held roles such as Senior Agricultural Economist, Project Lead, Regional Head for Partnerships, Consultant, Expert, Rapporteur, National Coordinator, Value Chain Expert, and Research Fellow.

He has contributed to the development of national policies, bills, and initiatives in areas such as Food and Nutrition, Sexual Harassment, and Rice Development.
