Arama Kukutai

Arama Kukutai is an experienced investment professional with a focus on venture investing in Agrifood Technology.

He is a member of Farm 2050 and a co-founder of the UpScale event.

With a background in agribusiness and diversified investments, Arama has held key positions such as Chairman of PKW Farms Ltd and Deputy Chair of PKW Incorporation, a New Zealand-based agribusiness and investment corporation.

Prior to his current roles, Arama served as the head of the New Zealand trade agency in North America.

Arama specializes in venture financing for early and growth-stage companies in Agrifood tech, agribusiness development, international business development, agriculture asset class investments, and dairy farm investments.

He studied LLB and BCA at Victoria University of Wellington.

Arama Kukutai has an extensive organizational background, having served in various capacities including Chief Executive Officer, Board Member, Board Observer, Partner & Co-Founder in companies like Plenty®, Farmer's Fridge, Finistere Ventures, Sprout Agritech, Tovala, Invert Robotics, BioLumic, Taranis, Growers Edge Financial, CropX Technologies LTD, Hawaii Dairy Services LLC, ZeaKal, Inc, Somark Innovations, and Hawaii Bioenergy.

He has also held positions as Regional Director at NZ Trade & Enterprise, Chairman & Deputy Chairman at Parininihi ki Waitotara Trust.
