April Brown

April Brown is passionate about Economic Development and focuses on securing quality jobs and investments in the region to enhance economic security and well-being for local families.

As the Existing Industry Manager, April's main objective is to meet employer needs, retain businesses in the community, and foster growth by building relationships with local business leaders and CEOs.

She is dedicated to understanding and addressing the specific needs, concerns, and goals of businesses while also bridging the gap between local leaders and the workforce talent by facilitating training and development opportunities in Asheville and Buncombe County.

April Brown holds a Bachelor of Science in Geography and Environmental Science from Ohio University, a Master of Science in Construction Management from Colorado State University, and has studied Athletic Training and Physical Therapy at Wilmington College.

Her professional experience includes roles such as Director of Existing Industry and Workforce Development at Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce, Founder and Principal Consultant at Green Bridge Consulting, LENSES Program Manager at CLEAR, Senior Project Manager & Research Associate at Institute for the Built Environment, and Sustainability Associate at Institute for the Built Environment.
