AnnMarie Thomas
AnnMarie Thomas is a renowned academic and professional with a diverse educational background. She pursued her MS and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Caltech. Her Bachelor's degree in Ocean Engineering with a minor in Music was obtained from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Furthermore, she also holds a Professional Certificate in Sustainable Design from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design along with a Post-Doctoral Degree in Management & Marketing from the University of Florida - Warrington College of Business.
Currently, AnnMarie Thomas serves as a Professor at the School of Engineering and Opus College of Business at the University of St. Thomas. Her past experiences are equally impressive, having been a Senior Fellow at the GeoTech Center of the Atlantic Council and the Co-creator and Project Director at OK Go Sandbox. She has also shared her insights as a Keynote Speaker and Workshop Leader at SPEAKING.com Speakers Bureau / Speaker Management. Additionally, AnnMarie Thomas has been involved in academia as the Director and Founder of the Playful Learning Lab at the University of St. Thomas and as the Founding Executive Director of Maker Ed. She has also held positions at the Art Center College of Design and interned at the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI) in the AUV Lab.
