Annie Shapiro

Annie Shapiro is the Vice President of Platform at Inspired Capital, a venture capital firm with $900M in assets under management (AUM).3 In this role, she supports Inspired Capital's portfolio companies in areas such as marketing, talent, and operations.6

Shapiro also serves on the board of directors of the VC Platform Global Community, a trade group for venture capital platform professionals.12 The VC Platform Global Community represents over 800 VC firms in more than 40 countries.2

In addition to her roles at Inspired Capital and VC Platform Global Community, Shapiro previously worked at Namely, a HR software company.5 She holds an AB degree from Princeton University, graduating in 2011.5

Shapiro is active in the venture capital community. In April 2024, she attended the VC Platform Global Community Summit and facilitated a roundtable discussion.4 She believes that platform services, which provide operational support to portfolio companies, are becoming increasingly important for venture capital firms to remain competitive in attracting founders.12
