Annette Simmons

Annette Simmons is a professional speaker, trainer, and author who specializes in storytelling, leadership, group process, dialogue, and facilitation. She has written several books, including The Story Factor and Whoever Tells the Best Story Wins, which have been named among the One Hundred Best Business Books of All Time. Additionally, Simmons has consulted on issues covered in the books Territorial Games: Understanding and Ending Turf Wars at Work and A Safe Place for Dangerous Truths. Her background includes studying Marketing/Business at LSU and Training and Development at NC State, as well as experience working as a consultant at Farr Associates and an account executive at JWT. She has also served as an adjunct faculty at The Brookings Institution and a teacher at Group Process Consulting, where she taught others how to tell stories and train others to do the same. Currently, Simmons is researching group process and how groups use or lose individuals' talents and creativity.
