Anne Hess

Anne Hess is the Executive Director of the Kirkland Downtown Association (KDA), a position she has held since January 2024. In her role, she focuses on community engagement and marketing communications, leading initiatives that foster connections between local merchants and residents through inclusive events and programs. These events aim to celebrate the community and enhance its vibrancy by attracting both locals and tourists to downtown Kirkland.12

In addition to her work with the KDA, Anne is also the owner and publisher of BeLOCAL Kirkland and serves as the editor of Greet Kirkland. These platforms are dedicated to connecting new residents with local businesses and community stories, emphasizing relationship marketing and immersive storytelling.1

Her contributions to the community have been recognized with awards such as the Anne J. Owens Community Service Award from the Kirkland Chamber of Commerce in December 2018, highlighting her commitment to community service over an extended period.1
