Annamarie Saarinen
Annamarie Saarinen is a public affairs and policy expert with a focus on health economics, AI, and social innovation in healthcare ecosystems. She is the co-founder and chief of research collaborative at the Newborn Foundation and founder of Bloom Standard, a pediatric medtech for resource-poor settings. Saarinen has vast experience in public policy and government relations, serving as a health economics and outcomes research expert at Masimo and working as the director of public affairs and communications at the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce. She holds a Humphrey Policy Fellowship from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs, an M.A. in economics, and a BA in economics from Iowa State University, as well as completing studies in global health at the Yale School of Public Health. She is a member of the Advisory Committee on Heritable Disorders in Newborns and Children at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and has served as a board member for numerous organizations, including the Pediatric Device Innovation Consortium and Adopt A Room. Saarinen is passionate about equitable, accessible tech development for low-resource settings and maternal/newborn/pediatric health.
