Annalise Taylor

Annalise Taylor is a dedicated PhD student at UC Berkeley with a focus on using satellite imagery and geospatial tools to research the impacts of Indigenous stewardship in California.
She specializes in Google Earth Engine, a remote sensing API, to analyze ecosystem changes over time and space, collaborating with the Amah Mutsun Tribal Band to explore the ecological effects of Indigenous stewardship practices.
With a background in analyzing drought-related forest mortality on Santa Cruz Island and experience as a GIS Analyst at Peninsula Open Space Trust, Annalise is committed to utilizing her expertise in remote sensing, ecology, and GIS to advance environmental justice and Indigenous sovereignty.
She holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Middlebury College, along with diverse experience including roles at The Nature Conservancy, Stanford University, and Younger Lagoon Reserve.
