Anna Scally is an accomplished International Tax Partner at KPMG Ireland, where she also leads the Technology and Media practice and serves as the Fintech leader.
With over 15 years of experience at partner level, Anna specializes in advising global companies on various tax matters such as M&A, financing, group structuring, R&D, IP, and international tax issues within sectors like technology, media, telecommunications, Fintech, pharmaceuticals, and life-sciences.
Anna is deeply invested in fostering innovation and supporting innovation-driven enterprises and entrepreneurial start-ups. She provides counsel to early-stage companies on fundraising, shareholding structures, founder incentives, employee rewards, and scaling global operations.
Beyond her role at KPMG, Anna is actively engaged in the Irish business community. She is a Steering Group member of Scale Ireland, a founding director of the Fintech and Payments Association of Ireland, and a former Board Member and Chair of the Tax Group at the American Chamber of Commerce in Ireland.
Anna Scally's involvement extends to governmental initiatives as well, having been a member of an Irish Government-led Innovation Taskforce where she led the work group focused on Intellectual Property, Incentives, and Venture Capital.
An essential partnership under Anna's leadership is KPMG's global collaboration with Connected Intelligence (Ci), the team responsible for Web Summit, F.ounders, and related events like Collision, Rise, and MoneyConf. She is also recognized for her public speaking engagements on International Investment, Tax, and Fintech topics, often serving as a moderator at events, including the Money Conf Stage at Web Summit in Lisbon.
Anna contributes to KPMG's industry reports such as the Venture Pulse Report focusing on global Venture Capital investment trends and the Pulse of Fintech Report tracking M&A and investment activities in the Fintech sector worldwide.
Universally acknowledged for her expertise and contribution, Anna Scally has been named among the Top 100 Women in Fintech by Lattice80, one of Ireland's top Digital Women by Image Magazine, featured in Silicon Republic's Women Invent Tomorrow program as one of the 100 Top Women in STEM, and recognized by Business and Finance magazine as one of the Tech 100.
Anna's educational background includes studying at Loreto Foxrock and obtaining a B. Comm in Commerce/Accounting from University College Dublin.
