Anna Hanchar is a seasoned social science researcher and SenseMaker practitioner with a diverse skillset in workshop facilitation and training. Her journey into SenseMaker began in 2013, drawn to its complexity-aware approach for informed decision-making at various levels.

Anna Hanchar has collaborated with reputable organizations like Cognitive Edge, Narrate, and The Data Atelier on projects spanning across peacebuilding, citizen engagement, women's empowerment, refugee integration, minority inclusion, youth employment, healthcare delivery, and capacity strengthening.

With a thematic focus on various critical issues, Anna Hanchar has contributed significantly to advancing the SenseMaker methodology. She explores cutting-edge visualization techniques, data analytics such as natural language processing, and machine learning to enhance the approach.

Anna Hanchar holds a PhD in Strategic Management from Trinity College, University of Dublin, and has previously leveraged her expertise in information and data in both academic and private sectors. Her academic journey includes studies in Economics and Languages, Strategy, Advocacy, Policy, Leadership, statistics, and third-level teaching and learning.

Throughout her career, Anna Hanchar has held key positions at prestigious institutions like The Data Atelier, where she is a Co-Founder, Narrate Ltd as a Senior Consultant, and KnowledgeBrief as the Head of Research. Additionally, she has served as a Researcher at Trinity College, University of Dublin, and as a Lecturer and Tutor at the School of Business within the Trinity Access Programme (TAP). Prior to her current roles, Anna gained valuable experience during her placement at Accenture's BPOS Centre focusing on Finance & Accounting.
