Policy and Strategic Partnerships Officer
Anna DeGrauw is a Policy and Strategic Partnerships Officer with a focus on global disaster risk financing agendas, including debt pause clauses and pandemic and epidemic risk. She actively engages with G20 and G7 institutional processes like the G20 Disaster Risk Reduction Working Group.
With a background in the development and humanitarian sectors, Anna has worked in various United Nations entities, such as the International Labour Organization, UNESCO-International Institute for Education Planning, and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean. At the ILO, she contributed to initiatives like the UN Secretary-General's Global Accelerator for Jobs and Social Protection for Just Transitions.
Anna's interests lie in applying a gendered perspective to disaster risk management, climate adaptation and mitigation strategies, and social protection within national and international policy contexts. Her educational qualifications include an MA in International Affairs from Johns Hopkins SAIS and an MSc in Globalization and Development from SOAS University of London.
Starting her career in grassroots organizations across Italy, Kenya, Uganda, Thailand, and the US, Anna brings a diverse range of experiences to her current role in global policy and partnerships.
