Anna Calamaro
Chaplain Intern at Cedars-Sinai, Founder of TzimTzum Doula
Anna Calamaro is a fourth-year rabbinical student at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion with a background in Jewish education, experiential education, and social justice.
She has worked with various organizations including Metro Chicago Hillel, Bend The Arc, and Congregation Or Ami, where she created the inaugural Kadima Fellowship.
Anna has also served as a student rabbi at Congregation Shir Ami in Castro Valley, California, and as a JDC-Weitzman Fellow in countries like Lithuania, Hungary, and Russia.
In addition to her rabbinical studies, Anna decided to pursue her passion for supporting Jewish traditions in the realm of pregnancy by becoming a Jewish full spectrum Doula, founding TzimTzum Doula.
She values pregnancy as a spiritually meaningful phase in life and aims to integrate birthwork at the core of her rabbinate.
Anna enjoys singing, playing guitar, watching documentaries, and going on food tours with her husband and dog in her free time.
