Anis Sefidanis, PhD
University Professor, Book Author, Futurist
Dr. Anis Sefidanoski, known as Anis Sefidanis, PhD, is a distinguished university professor with a rich academic background and extensive experience in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Robotics. Currently serving as a professor in the Faculty of Applied Information Technology, Machine Intelligence, and Robotics at the University of Information Science and Technology (UIST) “St. Paul the Apostle”, Anis has also taught at esteemed institutions like the Military Academy "General Mihailo Apostolski" in Skopje and the European University.
An accomplished individual, Anis has achieved significant milestones in his career, including winning the prestigious 1st prize twice at the “National Competition of Young Researchers” in 1999 and 2000. His educational journey led him to the Universitas Studiorum Utinensis in Italy, where he graduated top of his class before venturing into the IT industry in Northern Italy, specializing in multimedia and integrated smart systems.
Anis's dedication to innovation and academic excellence is evident through his remarkable achievements, such as winning the “Innovation Partner Contest” organized by Deutsche Telekom’s “T-Brand” in Macedonia. He is the founder of the Sefidanis Institute for Artificial Intelligence, which introduced the first Supercomputer in Southeast Europe, manufactured by Nvidia in California, USA.
Furthermore, Anis has actively contributed to Erasmus K203 projects and served as the President of the Organizational Committee at the 8th International Scientific Conference on "Artificial Intelligence - Challenge of the Digital Era". He has also co-founded the Sefidanis Institute of Applied Artificial Intelligence and worked as an ICT Innovation Specialist at the Macedonian Institute for Integration.
Anis Sefidanis is a prolific author, with over 20 scientific research papers and two academic books to his credit. His publications, including "Pattern Recognition, the Heart of Artificial Intelligence" (2020) and "Information Science for the Future of Medicine" (2021), reflect his expertise in cutting-edge technologies and their applications in various domains.
