Angelo Recca is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at BitSong, a blockchain-based ecosystem for the music industry.12 He conceived BitSong in 2018, recognizing the need to address issues of music ownership and royalty attribution in the digital age.1 Initially serving as CEO from May 2018 to August 2021, Recca transitioned to the role of CTO in August 2021.24
Recca's vision for BitSong evolved from an Ethereum-based application to a Cosmos-based blockchain, launching the main BitSong blockchain in August 2020.1 Under his leadership, the bitsong-2b mainnet went live on October 21, 2021, featuring Fan Tokens, NFTs, and a music streaming platform.1
