Angelica Ramos is a skilled political consultant, mediator, and rape crisis counselor with a passion for empowering women and promoting gender parity in leadership. With expertise in campaign management, field outreach, event planning, and fundraising support, she has served a range of political campaigns and non-profit organizations across California, including the National Women's Political Caucus of Silicon Valley, Child Advocates of Silicon Valley, and Fresh Lifelines for Youth.
Angelica brings a wealth of experience to her current role as Policy Director at the Office of County Supervisor Susan Ellenberg, where she advocates for policies that support children and families in Santa Clara County. Prior to joining the County Supervisor's team, Angelica managed the Susan Ellenberg for County Supervisor 2018 campaign, leading the charge to elect a progressive woman to the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors despite being outspent 5 to 1.
Angelica's dedication to social justice issues is reflected in her educational background. She studied Juris Doctor, Children's Rights & Criminal Law at Whittier Law School and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law and Society, Communication Studies from the School of Public Affairs at American University. She has also served as a Law Clerk at the Law Offices of Steven R. Young, a Judicial Extern at Orange County Superior Court, and a Summer Law Clerk at the Children's Law Center of Los Angeles.
Angelica's numerous other roles have included Head of Transition for Supervisor-Elect Susan Ellenberg, Campaign Manager for multiple political campaigns, Policy Associate at the Bill Wilson Center, Policy Analyst for the City of San Jose, Regional Field Manager at Burnside & Associates, Political Action Committee Consultant at CAIR-CA, and Co-Founder/Co-Director of the New Leaders Council in Orange County. She has also held positions with the Orange County District Attorney's Office, the DC Rape Crisis Center, the United States Department of Justice, Steptoe & Johnson LLP, and the United States Court of Appeals.
Angelica is a Certified Mediator and Rape Crisis Counselor by the State of California, a Court Appointed Special Advocate with Child Advocates of Silicon Valley, and a Law Facilitator for at-risk youth with Fresh Lifelines for Youth. Her dedication to empowering women and underrepresented groups is further reflected in her role as the current re-founding President of the National Women's Political Caucus of Silicon Valley.
