Angela Kwan

Angela Kwan is a seasoned business owner, entrepreneur, and lawyer based in Sydney with a focus on real estate, social enterprise, education, startups, and technology.

Having spent a decade working and living in East Asia (Hong Kong, Taiwan, China) and the United States in various corporate, legal, and advisory roles, Angela brings a wealth of international experience to her ventures.

Together with her brother, Angela is actively involved in property development and investment, recently completing a multi-unit residential complex in Sydney with plans for further real estate projects.

Drawing on her diverse professional background and cross-cultural insights, Angela is passionate about fostering startup businesses, innovation, and entrepreneurship in Australia and Asia, advising numerous early-stage enterprises and actively participating in the startup community.

Angela is also the co-founder of Catalyser, a social enterprise aimed at enhancing workplace giving through a digital platform to drive social impact and streamline reporting for organizations.

With a strong foundation in commercial and financial law, corporate governance, and compliance gained through her tenure at esteemed organizations like Mallesons Stephen Jaques (now King & Wood Mallesons), Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation, Credit Suisse, General Electric, and Aviage Systems, Angela possesses a wealth of international legal and business expertise.

Maintaining her ties with East Asia, Angela is dedicated to promoting cultural and economic exchange between Australia and key Asian markets like China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, leveraging her language skills in Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese, and Taiwanese) and Japanese.

Angela's educational background includes an LLM with a concentration in International Finance from Harvard Law School, a LLB in Law, and a BA in Japanese Studies from the University of Sydney.
