Angela Blake

Angela Blake is a seasoned corporate finance and M&A partner at Bennett Jones LLP, with a focus on advising clients in various sectors such as cannabis, mining, technology, apparel, and life sciences, both in Canada and internationally.

Her expertise lies in providing extensive transactional guidance, including private placement financings, prospectus offerings, debt offerings, initial public offerings, exchange listings, reverse takeovers, business acquisitions, asset and share purchases, corporate reorganizations, and qualifying transactions.

Apart from transactional matters, Angela also offers counsel on corporate governance issues, assisting with governance policies, regulatory compliance, continuous disclosure requirements, social media usage, and advising special committees on responses to hostile takeovers and other transactions.

Angela Blake holds an LLB from The University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Victoria.

Prior to her current role at Bennett Jones LLP, Angela has held positions such as Securities and M&A Lawyer at Clark Wilson LLP, and roles at the Office of Associate Vice President of Land and Building Services, as well as the Human Security Centre at Liu Institute for Global Issues at UBC.
