She pursued her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Art History from the University of Havana, further enhancing her skills and knowledge in the field. Anelys continued her academic journey by studying for a Master's degree in Art History at the University of Havana.

Her passion for museology and museum studies led her to Florida International University, where she focused on Graduate Certification in Museology/Museum Studies, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the dynamics of museums and curatorial practices. Anelys has a well-rounded educational foundation that combines the theoretical aspects of art history with practical museum expertise.

Professionally, Anelys Alvarez has excelled in her roles. She served as an Assistant Curator at the prestigious Jorge M. Perez Collection & The Related Group, where she honed her skills in curating, exhibition design, and collection management. Through her work, Anelys contributed to the vibrant art scene by showcasing diverse artists and engaging audiences with thought-provoking exhibitions.

Prior to her role as an Assistant Curator, Anelys Alvarez shared her knowledge and passion for art history as an Art History Professor at the Universidad de La Habana.
