Andy Zaayenga is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in business development and consulting within the life sciences industry, specifically focusing on laboratory automation and medical devices for drug discovery and biobanking.
Andy has held various key roles in companies such as SmarterLab, HighRes Biosolutions, Tecan REMP, TekCel, Zymark, and Sybron, where he has contributed significantly to system integration, sample management, innovative sample storage solutions, and pioneering advancements in laboratory automation.
In addition to his corporate experience, Andy has been deeply involved in several prestigious associations and committees, including serving as the President of the International Society for Biological and Environmental Repositories (ISBER), Executive Chair of the Laboratory Robotics Interest Group (LRIG), member of the Editorial Board for Current Research in Drug Discovery (CRDD) and Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening (SLAS), among many others.
