Andy Wu
Andy Wu is a highly accomplished Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) researcher with a focus on Tangible Media, Information Visualization, and User-Centered Design. With a Ph.D. in Digital Media from the esteemed Georgia Institute of Technology, Wu has held various positions at GE Research since joining the natural user interface research team in 2012. Currently, he is a Lead Scientist in the HCI lab, AI & Learning Systems group at GE Research located in San Ramon, California. Wu has architected and built visual analytics tools empowering GE executives with critical business decision-making capabilities. He is also responsible for building multi-modal natural interactions for operation centers of the future within GE businesses.
Over the course of his career, Wu has earned a Master of Science degree in Human Computer Interaction, a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrophysics, proving his dedication and leadership in HCI. Wu is passionate about tangible embodied interactions on interactive surfaces and in physical spaces, which makes him a valuable asset to GE Research.
