Andy Whitlock, a seasoned ophthalmic research leader, has transitioned to become the President and Principal Consultant at Ocular Discovery Services. With a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the Medical University of South Carolina, Andy has spent nearly two decades managing effective teams and achieving research success in the biopharma and Contract Research Organization (CRO) industries. Andy has a wealth of experience in in vitro and in vivo pharmacology models in ophthalmology, where he has led numerous successful discoveries and developments. Before joining Ocular Discovery Services, Andy served as the Vice President Pre-Clinical R&D and Director of Preclinical R&D at Ora, Inc., while also contributing his expertise to Lexicon Pharmaceuticals as Associate Director- Glaucoma Research.

With extensive knowledge and experience, Andy has contributed significantly to research within the field of glaucoma, leveraging on his expertise in ophthalmic drug discovery and research preclinical pipeline management.
