Andy Sadhwani

Andy Sadhwani is a Principal Propulsion Engineer at SpaceX, specializing in the Raptor engine program. He has been with SpaceX since 2007, where he has held various roles, including Senior Propulsion Analyst and Manager/Lead Propulsion Analyst. His work has involved structural analysis, thermal protection development, and flight software, among other responsibilities. He has also contributed to cost tracking and reduction efforts and has mentored over 50 employees during his tenure.1

Sadhwani holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and dual Master of Science degrees in Aeronautics & Astronautics and Mechanical Engineering Design from Stanford University. His early career included positions as an academic researcher at NASA and Stanford, as well as internships at SpaceX and Orbital Sciences Corporation.12

In addition to his engineering work, Sadhwani is active in education and outreach, having facilitated numerous technical and soft-skills courses for over 5,000 participants.1 His mission is to advance humanity through innovation in space propulsion, reflecting a strong commitment to the aerospace industry.
