Andy Ross is a renowned literary agent with over 30 years of experience in the book world. He is the founder and owner of the Andy Ross Agency, which represents authors in various genres such as narrative non-fiction, science, journalism, history, religion, children's literature, young adult, middle-grade, literary and commercial fiction, and cooking. Prior to starting his agency, Andy owned Cody's Books, a legendary bookstore in Berkeley.
An accomplished leader, Andy has an eye for identifying exceptional writers and projects that appeal to a broad readership. His interests span several disciplines, and he is especially interested in narrative non-fiction. He seeks out writing that is engaging, packed with a compelling narrative arc, and voiced by writers with authority in their subject areas. Andy also enjoys scholarly work and is open to representing authors with a depth of knowledge in their respective fields.
In addition to non-fiction, Andy has a passion for literary, commercial, and children's fiction. He looks for simplicity in storytelling and storytelling that takes readers on a journey through the human heart.
With a Master of Arts in European History from the University of Oregon, Andy is a member of the Association of Author Representatives (AAR).
