Andy Miller is the Senior Vice President of Innovation & Product Development at AARP, a position he has held since July 2016.2 In this role, he leads AARP Innovation Labs, where he is responsible for driving a culture of innovation, startup engagement, investing, and ecosystem development through the AgeTech Collaborative.1
Miller's key accomplishments at AARP include:
- Launching the AgeTech Collaborative, engaging with 325+ ecosystem partners and contributing to startups raising over $420 million in funds.2
- Building AARP's early-stage corporate venture investment practice, leading to 70+ investments in pre-seed and seed stage startups.2
- Creating AARP Innovation Labs, which has executed more than 150 events, collaborated with 120 startups through an accelerator program, and facilitated over 400 design thinking projects.2
- Developing a product development function that has tested more than 200 concepts, leading to nine minimum viable products and three new businesses.2
Prior to joining AARP, Miller was the Chief Innovation Architect at Constant Contact, where he founded the Small Business Innovation Loft.2 He has also held various positions at PFPC, T. Rowe Price, Putnam Investments, and Bank of America.1 Miller has founded and served as CEO for several companies, including CardStar, Lumifi, Quece, and RetirementSuite.com.1
Miller holds a BA in Economics from SUNY Oswego and an MS in Entrepreneurial Studies from Suffolk University, as well as executive education certificates from Babson College and Georgetown University.12
