Andy Lauber is a dedicated Social Worker who embarked on his journey at Chai Lifeline in 1997 as a Camp Simcha Counselor and continued to make a meaningful impact in the field of social work.
Throughout his career, Andy has worked as a case manager at NYU Langone and Cohens Children's hospital, providing essential support, advocacy, services, and therapy to families during challenging times.
He has collaborated with top pediatric specialists, ensuring the coordination of care with professionalism and sensitivity, recognizing the impact of illness on every family member.
In 2007, Andy seized a unique opportunity to create the i-Shine after school program, catering to 'healthy children' facing illness or loss in their families by offering holistic care and a range of activities across multiple locations.
With a focus on addressing individual needs, circumstances, coping skills, and support systems, Andy has trained mentors drawn from various Jewish communities, fostering future leaders and a sense of community solidarity.
His educational background includes studies at Queens College and a Master's degree in Clinical/Medical Social Work from the Wurzweiler School of Social Work, providing him with a strong foundation for his professional endeavors.
