Andy Bindea

Andy Bogdan Bindea is a dedicated entrepreneur with a strong focus on environmental and social causes.

Having spent 5 years as a Greenpeace Campaign Coordinator in Central and Eastern Europe, Andy led various campaigns including clean water, ethical mining, and renewable energy initiatives.

Transitioning from the non-profit sector, he founded a plastic recycling start-up in Romania with a strong emphasis on environmental consciousness.

In 2011, Andy founded Sigora Solar in Virginia, which rapidly grew to become the #8 fastest-growing energy company in the United States, known for its commitment to clean practices.

He expanded his impact to Haiti by establishing Sigora Haiti, the first private utility company in the country that offers clean and affordable electricity services.

Recognizing the potential to replicate the success in Haiti, Andy created Sigora International, a company focused on energy technology development and providing micro-utility services to underserved populations, aiming to bring electricity to the 1.2 billion people lacking access to energy.
