Andrey Semin
Andrey Semin is an accomplished engineer and technical leader with over two decades of experience in delivering industrial designs and projects. He is an author of various patents and papers in the areas of application tuning and energy efficiency analysis. Andrey has also co-authored a book, "Optimizing HPC Applications with Intel Cluster Tools". He obtained his B.Sc. from Taskhent Institute of Youth and his M.Sc. from Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU).
Andrey is currently the System Performance Architect Lead at Apple. Prior to this, he spent many years at Intel Corporation in various roles, including Principal Engineer and HPC Technology Manager, EMEA. Andrey has also worked as a Sr. Solutions Architect, Russia/CIS, Senior Applications Consultant, Education Marketing Specialist, Project Manager, Developer, and administrator at Moscow State University, and as a Sales representative at Ardus.
Throughout his career, Andrey has been passionate about improving energy efficiency across a range of computing devices, from client to large HPC and cloud data centers. His work has enabled industry innovations that enhance energy efficiency, resulting in valuable savings at data center scale while creating a more sustainable future for modern IT.
