Andrew Truitt is a highly experienced professional with a strong background in solar energy and renewable energy systems.

After obtaining a B.S. in Physics from UC Santa Cruz and an MSc in Renewable Energy Systems Technology from Loughborough University, UK, in the early 2000s, Andrew ventured into the solar industry as a photovoltaic installer in California.

He later transitioned to Washington DC, where he played a significant role in the growth of Standard Solar (SSI) as one of its early employees, establishing various departments and ensuring top-notch PV installations on the East Coast.

Andrew's commitment to excellence earned him recognition, including the Bright Light award from the Maryland Clean Energy Center for his leadership in standardizing PV practices.

With his NABCEP certification and numerous contributions to the field, Andrew has been pivotal in shaping the solar industry. His consultancy, Truitt Renewable Energy Consulting, focuses on assisting organizations and entities in achieving their renewable energy objectives through expert analysis.

Andrew's vast experience includes over 1100 installations of residential and commercial PV systems across various states.

Passionate about safety, efficiency, and great customer service, Andrew Truitt continues to drive the adoption of high-quality PV systems.

Apart from his consultancy, Andrew has been involved in several organizations, including being a co-founder at Remote Solar and serving in leadership positions at Global Solace and NABCEP.
