Andrew Shue

Andrew Shue is a notable social entrepreneur and actor, best known for his role as Billy Campbell on the television series Melrose Place. He is an original founder and the current President of The People, an organization aimed at fostering civic engagement and political reform in the United States. Shue's involvement with The People began in response to the political divisions highlighted during the 2016 election, where he, along with pollster Frank Luntz and producer Patty Wolfe, conducted focus groups across nine states to gauge public sentiment on governance and collaboration among citizens of differing political beliefs.12

In addition to his role at The People, Shue co-founded Do Something, a non-profit organization that encourages youth activism, and CafeMedia, which supports digital publishers.13 His educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in History from Dartmouth College, where he was also recognized as a Regional All America soccer player.3

Shue's work focuses on empowering everyday Americans to engage in constructive dialogue and action to improve their government and community relations. His efforts have been instrumental in organizing initiatives that bring together diverse groups to work towards common goals.24
