Andrew Saunders

Andrew Saunders is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in various roles within the Athens-Clarke County Unified Government (ACCGov). He has been with ACCGov for 17 years, serving in multiple capacities that have equipped him with a broad perspective on both internal and external services. Recently, he was appointed as the Interim Assistant Manager, a role announced by ACC Acting Manager Niki Jones. Saunders' previous positions include heading the Central Services Department, where he was responsible for maintenance, landscaping, vehicles, communications, and event permits. He also served as the interim director of the Housing and Community Development Department and has worked as a sustainability officer, environmental coordinator, and community forestry coordinator within ACCGov.123
