Andrew Ravin

Andrew Ravin is a dedicated professional with over 15 years of experience in the New York City Public Schools system, where he served as a classroom teacher, Lead Teacher, Literacy Coach, and in School Leadership roles. Prior to this, he spent 7 years working in community social services in New York City and Chicago, showcasing his commitment to social change.

Andrew holds a diverse educational background, having pursued a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Literacy, a Master of Arts (MA) in Education, a Master of Social Work (MSW) in Community Organization and Advocacy, and a BA in Creative Arts.

Throughout his career, Andrew has been recognized for his excellence, earning awards as a student, teacher, and mentor. His contributions to education were highlighted when he was named one of the Top 100 Innovators in American Education.

Andrew has been involved in various organizations, including serving as the Founder and Head of School at Workshop Middle School, Co-Founder at Innovative Schools Cooperative, and in roles at Teachers College of Columbia University, Beginning with Children, and Elephant.is.
