Andrew Nishigaya is a seasoned technology professional and entrepreneur currently serving as the Co-Founder of Andamio by Gimbalabs since April 2023.1 He has an extensive background in software development and leadership roles, with a career spanning over three decades.
Prior to co-founding Andamio, Nishigaya had a long tenure at Amazon, where he worked for nearly 17 years.3 He started as a Senior Software Development Engineer in December 2008 and progressed to the role of Software Development Manager, which he held from November 2017 to December 2021.1
Nishigaya is also actively involved in the Cardano ecosystem. He has been serving as a Cardano Ambassador since December 2021 and is the Founder of the Salmon Nation Decentralized Alliance.1 Additionally, he holds the position of Chief Innovation Officer at Bridge Builders International (BBI).1
His entrepreneurial spirit is evident in his earlier roles, including being a Representative Director (CEO) at Cyber Technologies International K.K. from 1994 to 1997.1 Nishigaya's diverse experience also includes roles at companies such as Borland, AbeBooks, and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.1
Recently, Nishigaya has been involved in significant events within the Cardano community. He was a delegate at the Cardano Constitutional Convention in late 20245 and has been actively promoting Andamio, a learning management system built on Cardano that combines project-based learning methodologies with blockchain technology.24
Nishigaya's educational background includes studies at Tokyo International University and a BA from Willamette University.1
