Andrew MacGillivray is a skilled commercial and contracts lawyer with an extensive background in serving as in-house and external legal counsel for various global and multinational companies in Australia and internationally. His expertise includes advising on drafting, negotiation, management, and delivery of commercial agreements, infrastructure agreements, joint venture agreements, commodity sale and purchase agreements, and non-disclosure agreements. He also has experience with contractual risk management and dispute resolution, including internally through dispute resolution and avoidance board formats, adjudication, mediation, international arbitration, and formal litigation. Prior to his relocation to New York, Andrew was seconded to one of the largest international property and infrastructure groups as Legal Counsel, where he advised on a complex infrastructure project. Since his move to New York, he has worked as Legal Counsel to a leading global resources company, working on a range of commercial matters across Europe, India, and Asia. Andrew has been admitted as a lawyer to the High Court and Federal Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of Queensland since early 2013 and is eligible for immediate registration as an in-house attorney in New York State.
