Andrew L. Yeats is a recent physics PhD graduate with a strong desire to contribute to advancements in science and technology. With a decade of laboratory research experience, he has made significant contributions in the fields of optics, quantum information science, low-temperature physics, and magnetic materials.
Andrew holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he conducted cutting-edge research. He also completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) with honors in Physics and Political Science at Haverford College.
During his academic journey, Andrew has been part of various prestigious organizations. He served as a Research Physicist in the Electronic Sciences and Technology Division at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory, showcasing his expertise in physics and technology. Previously, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Materials Science Division at Argonne National Laboratory, where he further honed his research skills.
Andrew's passion for research led him to roles as a Graduate Student Researcher in Quantum Engineering at the University of Chicago and in Physics at the University of California, Santa Barbara. His early research experiences include being a Research Assistant at the Surface Science Lab at the Department of Condensed Matter Physics at Universidad Autonoma de Madrid and at Haverford College.
