Andrew Ferguson

Andrew Ferguson is a seasoned emergency management and security professional with vast experience managing emergency functions and business continuity operations for large organizations. He is currently serving as the Emergency and Business Continuity Coordinator at the University of Otago, responsible for all emergency management and security requirements across the institution's five campuses. Andrew has honed his skills from years of working as an Investigator, General Duties Constable, Officer in Charge - Police RHIB, and Deputy Proctor, among other roles, at the New Zealand Police. He holds a Diploma in New Zealand Policing, Advanced Strategic Crisis Management, and Certified Protection Professional from American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS) International. Andrew is an outstanding leader with exceptional management, budgetary, and project management skills. He is well-versed in providing high-level organizational advice, managing significant issues, and implementing strategic and operational objectives.
