Andrew Duncan

Andrew Duncan is the Talent Director at Atomico, a venture capital firm based in London. In this role, he focuses on helping portfolio companies identify and recruit top executive talent. He also advises founders on the development of their leadership teams and manages the Atomico Expert Network, which connects companies with experienced technology leaders globally.13

Before joining Atomico in January 2022, Duncan spent five years as a Director at The Up Group, a specialist executive search firm, where he gained extensive experience in the European tech ecosystem. His career began in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he worked at Kindred Partners and Booz Allen Hamilton, focusing on recruiting for high-growth technology companies and consulting in strategy and organization.24

Duncan holds degrees in political philosophy and English literature from the University of Virginia. He believes that his education has enhanced his ability to empathize and assess candidates, which is crucial in the talent acquisition process. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, often seen biking around south London with his daughters.12
