Onyx IQ is a multi-tenant SaaS B2B digital lending platform that broadly automates MCA business operations. We built the system from the ground up utilizing several technologies:
•	Highly available architecture deployed via Amazon EKS and Kubernetes
•	Utilization of several persistence/caching layers, including MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and Redis
•	Integration with multiple ACH processors and banks for processing as much as $1M per day, currently
•	Utilization of Flowable BPM for long process state and task management
In addition to systems implementation, my responsibilities at Onyx IQ included hiring most of the team and leading SOC 2 certification which involved implementing innumerable controls within AWS.

My mission at Kaplan was to foster innovation culture by redefining process, inspiring leaders, and shifting the organization to a product mindset. In terms of strategic focus, we leapfrogged the maturity of the department through the establishment of the Technology Product Management team. This resulted in customer-centric decision making and improved partnerships with the rest of the business. It was an honor to be entrusted with the responsibility of effecting change within an industry-leading organization like Kaplan.

KPS provides solutions that improve employee performance via hiring and selection, task analysis, and assessment. KPS also implements employee training and continuous assessment strategies.

•	Designed and implemented a multi-tenant data processing platform from the ground up. The platform serves employee selection, cognitive/behavioral/aptitude assessments, and task analysis tools, and it integrates with client systems through a distributed, highly available architecture.
•	Responsible for hiring and managing a multi-tier engineering team to rapidly develop new products using management principals from The Lean Startup by Eric Reis. The development methodology utilizes validated learning, testing assumptions first to deliver a proven product to stakeholders faster and at minimum cost.
•	Built a highly available system architecture employing a variety of products from Amazon Web Services with redundancy across multiple availability zones within a VPC.
•	Documented system and application architecture design to ensure the future application of best practices and to share a common strategic vision between engineering and product owners.

Director, Software Engineering

Prosperify was a quant trading platform that utilized machine learning to provide investment management services that outperformed traditional investment strategies available to the retail market.

•	Designed and implemented the entire technology strategy including data aggregation, client user interface, automated back-testing and challenger system, brokerage accounts management system, and live trading engine based on proprietary, predictive models
•	FINRA Series 65 / Registered with the SEC as an Internet Investment Advisor
•	Built the company from the ground up, contributing to its inception, incorporation, SEC registration, development, and customer acquisition

Prosperify

Cofounder/CTO

Mentor, teacher, and team leader for a small group of super talented engineers responsible for the execution and integrity of thousands of sub-second underwriting decisions per day.

Designed and implemented a risk based decision and analytics platform utilizing open source BRMS, BPM, and NoSQL technologies. This platform’s feature set includes a live, enterprise level decision engine, advanced data mining capabilities, analytical reporting and alert system, data normalizer, and an automated scorecard generator and challenger system that harnesses multiple machine learning algorithms.

Work closely with product management to strategically change products in a way that focuses on risk management and compliance while continuously driving profitability.
