Highlights
Today is my 40th birthday (and @Boardy_ai's 1st birthday)! To celebrate, we’re launching something new and would love your help spreading the word.
I’ve experienced first-hand the impact that students can have on the trajectory of a startup.
When Matt Stein joined us as an intern at Clearco, he had no idea what he was in for (and we would have never been able to accomplish what we did without him). He went on to raise hundreds of millions of dollars for the company, launch a venture fund of his own to invest in Clearco alumni and joined me as a co-founder at Boardy.
When I met @abhinav_boyed and @Ankur_Boyed , I knew they were special talents and we could build something incredible together. In fact, Boardy was largely built by AI-native student builders, and it’s a big part of the reason we’ve been able to create the experiences we have.
Many investors and founder friends have asked for my help in identifying the next Matt, Ankur or Abhi. I never had a great answer… until now.
Introducing the Boardy Fellowship, a program where Boardy uses the power of his network to accelerate the careers of the most promising young student builders.
This program is unique because it’s designed for both student founders who want to meet investors AND ambitious early career builders looking to join exciting startups.
It’s both an exciting and challenging time to be starting your career - while building with AI makes everything faster, it can be challenging to find job and internship opportunities, and meeting the right investors can be overwhelming.
Most of the startup founders and investors I know want to meet student builders to hire or invest in, but they can’t invest in a constant campus presence across every school.
That’s where the Boardy Fellowship comes in:
What is it? The Boardy Fellowship connects talented early career professionals and student builders directly to top internships and startup funding through Boardy's exclusive network.
Why it matters: Skip years of networking. Get immediate access to opportunities typically reserved for those with established connections.
The first 5 fellows Boardy selects will be awarded:
- $10,000 cash prize (or equity in Boardy if you're bullish on his future)
- All-expenses-paid VIP trip to Toronto Tech Week this June
- Direct introductions to investors actively funding AI-native student founders
- Fast-track to internship opportunities at startups in Boardy’s network that never hit job boards
To submit your application, just give @Boardy_ai a call! It's that simple.
We’re operating on a rolling selection, so the sooner the application, the better the chances — opportunities start today!

If you’re a startup founder or investor looking to meet Boardy Fellows, drop a comment below as well and we'll introduce you to some incredible AI-native student builders!

The H1B visa is terrible for America and exploitative for the individual. It ties the holder to their employer vs being able to move to the most impactful opportunities or start their own companies that employ others, which is what you really want your best people to do.
It benefits big tech way more than startups (they can afford to sponsor/lobby for H1Bs and they don’t want their people leaving to start companies). Many of the software jobs being done by H1B-holders will soon be done by AI.
@elonmusk @VivekGRamaswamy @realDonaldTrump @JDVance if you want America to recruit the best and brightest, create a better system (or revamp the O-1 and EB-class visas to actually achieve this)
