Professional Background
Andrew Clark is a renowned leader in the field of Product Design and is currently at the helm of the Product Design team at H&R Block. Prior to his current role, Andrew made significant contributions in various positions, notably as the Sr. Director of Global Brand Digital Design at Sonos, Inc. In this capacity, he led a dynamic team through the redesign of Sonos.com, transitioning it to a modern and mobile-first platform that served as both an educational resource and an e-commerce site. The success of this project positioned Sonos at the forefront of digital experience within the realm of audio products. Andrew's keen eye for design and content not only revitalized the website but also included the development of the brand’s identity, marketing materials, and digital communications that encapsulated the essence of Sonos.
In addition to overseeing website redesign, Andrew played a pivotal role as the Creative Director for product marketing in the Sonos Art Department. He was instrumental in delivering creative marketing initiatives for key product launches, including the widely acclaimed Sonos One and Sonos Beam systems. He also led the design and production of unique partnerships, one of which was the creative rollout for the first-ever IKEA Symfonisk product line, showcasing Andrew's commitment to innovative design partnerships.
Before joining Sonos, he served as the Director of Bruce Mau Design in Los Angeles, managing a talented studio comprised of 5-10 designers. His leadership there resulted in impactful brand communication and visual identity projects for notable clients such as Proper Hospitality, Adidas, and the Tiger Woods Foundation. His experience with building brands extended to engagement in entrepreneurial projects, allowing him to foster creativity in diverse environments.
Andrew's career also includes a pivotal role at Minimal as an Experience Designer. His aptitude for brand and communication design allowed him to contribute towards remarkable projects, including packaging design and web development for Minimal’s brand, LUNATIK. His path in the design world began at Bruce Mau Design, first in their Toronto and Chicago offices, where he collaborated on an extensive range of architecture and branding projects. He developed a well-rounded skill set that encompasses architecture, brand identity, communication design, and experience design, which he employs frequently in his roles.
Beginning his professional journey at Gensler, Andrew worked as an Architectural Designer on significant projects, including the headquarters of Amcol, which gave him an early glimpse into corporate design and architecture.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he was immersed in architecture, urban design, and literature. His strong educational background laid a solid foundation for his extensive career in design. Additionally, he further honed his architectural understanding by obtaining a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) from the University of Cincinnati.
