Andrew Borene

Andrew Borene is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in national security, intelligence, and cybersecurity. He currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University since 2014, where he shares his expertise in these fields.
In addition to his academic role, Borene is the Executive Director at Flashpoint, an international threat intelligence firm based in London, where he supports governments and enterprises globally. His previous roles include serving as a senior officer in the U.S. Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) and the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC), where he was involved in counterterrorism policy and planning across various regions including the Middle East and Europe.1
Borene has a strong educational background, holding a law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School. He is also a licensed attorney and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) with over 25 years of experience in his fields. His work has earned him several accolades, including the FBI Director's Award and the ODNI Exceptional Achievement Award.1
Furthermore, he actively participates in various organizations related to national security, including serving on the Editorial Board of the European Marshall Center’s Partnership for Peace journal and as a Senior Fellow at George Mason University’s National Security Institute.1
