Andrew Barson

Andrew Barson is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse educational background and extensive experience in the energy and engineering sectors.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Latin American Studies and a Bachelor of Engineering in Photovoltaic and Solar Energy Engineering, both from the University of New South Wales, where he achieved 1st Class Honours. Additionally, he has studied Energy Modelling at the University of Cape Town.

Andrew currently serves as the Head of Engineering and Portfolio Strategy at WIRSOL Energy, where he leverages his expertise to lead strategic initiatives. Prior to this role, he held positions such as Technical Manager and Solar Technical Lead - APAC at WIRSOL Energy.

His previous roles include serving as an Associate at OST Energy, Product Manager and Special Projects Manager at Barefoot Power, Director at Climate Catalysts, and Projects Director at Carbon Reduction Institute.

With a wealth of experience in the renewable energy and engineering fields, Andrew Barson excels in driving innovative projects and strategies to promote sustainability and energy efficiency.
