Andrew Axelrod

Andrew Axelrod is the Executive Vice President for Finance and Enterprise Business Development at the Aspen Institute.1 2 He joined the organization in the fall of 2022 after serving for 11 years in leadership roles at the United Nations Foundation, where he most recently held the position of Chief Operating Officer.1 2

In his role at the Aspen Institute, Axelrod oversees all aspects of the Institute's financial management and reporting, leads the exploration of new revenue opportunities, and promotes effective collaboration on finances across teams and functions.1 He is responsible for guiding the Institute's financial sustainability and collaborating with the Board of Trustees on fiscal matters.2

During the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic, Axelrod led UNF teams in mobilizing over $200 million for the Solidarity Response Fund to support the World Health Organization's pandemic relief efforts.1 2
