    Andrea Reimer is a distinguished individual who has held various important roles in the public sector, academia, and the non-profit world. She served as a three-term Vancouver Councillor, Metro Vancouver Director, one-time school trustee, and former National Green Municipal Fund Council member.

    Her remarkable achievements include being awarded a prestigious Loeb Fellowship at Harvard's Graduate School of Design for her exceptional leadership in green cities and urban policy. Currently, Andrea is actively involved in teaching about practical applications of power at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and Simon Fraser University (SFU), as well as providing consulting services in climate and social policy to municipal governments, non-profits, and mission-driven local businesses.

    In terms of education, Andrea has enriched her knowledge and skills by completing various programs. She studied at Leadership Vancouver, earned a Loeb Fellow designation at Harvard University, and obtained certificates in Graphic Design, Non-Profit Fundraising, and Non-Profit Management from Vancouver Community College (VCC).

    Her impressive list of organizational affiliations includes serving as an Adjunct Professor at UBC School of Public Policy and Global Affairs, being a commentator at CBC, instructing at SFU's Dialogue & Civic Engagement Certificate program, writing as a columnist for National Observer, and owning Strait Communications. Andrea has also held governance roles at The University of British Columbia and the World Future Council.

    Throughout her career, Andrea Reimer has been extensively involved in various leadership capacities within the City of Vancouver, Metro Vancouver, and different committees and working groups. These roles include Chairing and being a member of numerous committees focused on policy, strategic priorities, climate action, governance, green initiatives, childcare, and more. Her engagement extends to liaison roles with diverse community groups, advisory committees, Indigenous peoples, and sustainability initiatives.

    Her varied experiences encompass responsibilities such as Committee Memberships at Metro Vancouver on agriculture, zero waste, and Aboriginal relations, along with roles as Deputy Mayor and City Councillor in Vancouver. Moreover, her dedication to environmental causes is evident through her tenure as Executive Director at Wilderness Committee and Provincial Coordinator at Organizing for Change.

    Andrea Reimer's rich background demonstrates a deep commitment to environmental sustainability, social policy, public engagement, and effective governance. Her broad expertise in urban planning, green initiatives, and community development positions her as a leader in shaping progressive and environmentally conscious policies and practices.
