Andrea Hoff is a versatile professional excelling in various fields as an artist, writer, designer, and researcher.

Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Language & Literacy Education at the University of British Columbia, Andrea focuses on exploring climate justice through speculative comics creation with young individuals.

Her extensive body of work includes published writings and peer-reviewed articles on diverse topics such as climate activism, comics, neurodiversity, speculative fiction, posthumanism, future housing, and inclusive storytelling in design.

With a robust educational background, Andrea holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Language and Literacy Education, a Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) in Creative Writing, a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Film, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in Visual Art with Honours from reputable institutions like the University of British Columbia, University College Dublin, and University of Victoria.

Having contributed to various organizations, Andrea has served as Visiting Faculty at Simon Fraser University, Teaching Faculty at Emily Carr University of Art and Design, and held positions such as Writer & Illustrator, Visiting Lecturer, Executive Editor, Assistant Editor, Graduate Teaching Assistant, and Contest Manager at different institutions and literary magazines.

Her experience extends to roles like Editor at Fugue literary magazine, Writing Instructor at New Shoots Writing Mentorship, and School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture Library and Archival Assistant at The University of British Columbia.
