Andrea Baier is an accomplished publishing professional with a strong background in line management and team leadership. She is skilled in strategic planning and excels in navigating dynamic work environments.

With a Master of Science in Plant Science/Botany from Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz and additional studies in Plant Science at the University of Oklahoma, Andrea has a solid academic foundation in her field.

Throughout her career, Andrea has held various key roles at the British Ecological Society, including Director of Publishing, Head of Publishing, Senior Managing Editor for multiple journals such as Journal of Ecology, Methods in Ecology & Evolution, and Journal of Animal Ecology.

Prior to her time at the British Ecological Society, Andrea gained valuable experience at John Wiley and Sons, where she served in roles ranging from Project Management to Publishing Assistant.

Her experience also includes being a Commissioning Editor and Associate Commissioning Editor at John Wiley and Sons, showcasing her versatility and expertise in the publishing industry.
