Supplier Diversity Manager - Purchasing at Tarrant County College
André McEwing is the Supplier Diversity Manager in the Purchasing department at Tarrant County College (TCC). A Fort Worth native, he has a strong background in corporate America, having graduated from Morehouse College with a BA focused on banking and finance. He also holds a Master's degree in Sustainability from The University of Texas at Arlington.12
In his role at TCC, McEwing is responsible for developing and managing initiatives that promote minority and women-owned business enterprises (M/WBE) and historically underutilized businesses (HUB). His work includes creating a certified vendor database to enhance contracting opportunities for these businesses, emphasizing the importance of equitable access to contracts within the college's procurement processes.13
McEwing has previously worked with notable organizations such as Lockheed Aeronautics and Pepsi Cola, where he focused on management positions that allowed him to build a professional network and contribute positively to his community. He is also actively involved in various boards, including the Real Estate Council of Greater Fort Worth and Uplift Fort Worth, and is a life member of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity, where he mentors youth.12
