Senior Software Engineer - Online Ordering

Software Engineer in the POS (Point of sale) team that targets the restaurant segment in the Nordic countries. 

My responsibilities include (but not limited to): 
- iOS/iPadOS development (Swift, SwiftUI and Objective-C)

Achievements include (but not limited to):
- Introduced CI as an integral part of the workflow.
- Built internal tooling to support the organization by delivering regular builds for iOS, iPadOS and Android for several different products. Similar to Firebase App Distribution but customized to our needs.
- Led work to migrate large Backoffice application from AngularJS to Angular and TypeScript.
- Led initiative which decreased the time needed for translations by 90%, through centralizing localizable content and streamlining how translators and the development team worked together.

- Integrating and rebranding the previous product Sparta into the new product called Lime Engage. Built using Python as plugin architecture mapping to the Lime Engage API.

- Hands-on DevOps and software development tasks spanning our different platforms. The different areas are our API (based on Ruby and Ruby on Rails), native iOS mobile application (based on Swift), native Android app and frontend application (based on Javascript using React, Redux, Webpack)

Sparta is sales performance and gamification software for companies serious about reaching their potential. The product is a highly collaborative and real-time system for running better sales organisations available on both web and iOS. 

My responsibilities include (but not limited to): 

- Hands-on DevOps and software development tasks on our API (based on Ruby and Ruby on Rails), iOS mobile application (based on Swift) and frontend application (based on Javascript using React, Redux, Webpack)
- Direct management of a team of Software Engineers
- Overall delivery management (functional and non-functional) of software development and integration projects encompassing architecture, development and testing
- Define an appropriate Development Strategy and Maintenance Process for it
- Drive best practices in development and continuous delivery
- Ensure software delivery is of a high quality with each and every release
- Coordinate projects that span multiple teams
- Mentor, coach, and develop a high performing engineering team
- Work with customers to ensure clients achieve successful outcomes

The Sparta platform runs Ruby on Rails for the API. The frontend platform is written in React + Redux and our iOS app is written in Swift.

iOS Developer on GoToMeeting for iPhone and iPad. GoToMeeting is a video conferencing solution that allows people to collaborate from anywhere, on any device.

Worked on a distributed team consisting of members in Sweden, Denmark and the US. Traveled to Denmark and California frequently.

Couple of my achievements, but not limited to:

- Headed the implementation of a new feature set built on WebRTC, working closely with the WebRTC core team at Google.
- Boosted the GoToMeeting iOS tNPS score by 79,8 from April (2014) to December (2014) (­-37,5 to 42.3).
- Took the lead role in defining a release process and how to release every two week for our mobile app
- Transitioned development over from Perforce to Git, and set up the Continuous Integration platform (including test automation).
- Instrumental in defining how teams approach unit testing (and actually getting them started), helping introduce the concepts of MVVM and BDD.
- Drove the "Active Directory"​ and "Single Sign On” integration effort for the GoToMeeting iOS platform
- Participated and came third place in the final at the Lean Innovation Challenge.
- Decreased the time needed for translations by 90%, through centralizing localizable content and streamlining how translators and the development team worked together. This enabled the translation of GoToMeeting into four new languages with a significant speed-up.
- Introduced and drove the usage of HipChat for internal communications to improve communication throughout teams. HipChat is now used by most of the engineering teams and many others (> 1 000 employees).
- Received several peer-to-peer awards for both personal collaboration and technical achievements.
